For ancient Egyptians, spirituality was not merely "part" of life – it infused their everyday experience. All life was understood to originate in the "invisible." Egyptian wisdom was gleaned from a profound observation and understanding of life. The priority for Egyptians was to live well in this life, in accordance with justice and truth, fulfilling his/her deepest identity.

Ancient Egyptians had a wisdom and knowledge that we are only beginning to rediscover and understand today. They viewed their connection to all of creation very differently than we do. Sacred sites were considered to be mirror images of what is in the heavens: “as above, so below.” The human body was understood to be a holographic image of the Universe. The Universe was considered the same as God, God the same as man, man the same as the cell, the cell the same as the atom, and so on.

The ancient Egyptians realized the harmony of the universe and understood how to attune to its energies. They knew that everything is intimately woven together in the beautiful pattern of creation. They understood that the pattern for the creation of a solar system is the same pattern for the creation of a single atom. And they understood that an intelligent energy and spirit creates and connects all life, everywhere.

The Temples and Pyramids built by the ancient Egyptians were multi-functional. They were astronomical observatories, places of initiation into the secrets of the cosmos, energy and healing centres, and most important for humanity today, they held the keys to understanding universal laws and the knowledge of the coming Golden Age, the age of enlightenment.

We are now moving with increasing speed towards the predicted shift into global consciousness, and as we do, it is helpful and perhaps even integral for us to understand this ancient wisdom. In order to navigate these chaotic times and move forward, fully empowered and enlightened, it is essential that we “wake up” and “remember” who we are and where we come from.
